At your arrival, you will be welcomed at Ivato international airport by the team of our agency, and then we will transfer you to the hotel. If time allows, we will give you some briefing of the tour.

After breakfast, you will leave the hotel and depart for Antsirabe. On the way, you will make a stop at the foundry in Ambatolampy with its production made of aluminum. After having lunch at the place, you will continue the trip and arrive in the city of water in the afternoon. Then you will install at the hotel.

This day, you will be transferred on rickshaw and make a visit of a workshop that transforms zebu horns into an object of decoration. After the visit, you will go to Ranomafana. On the way, you will make a stop in Ambositra to admire the skills of the craftsmen of this city. Lots of Malagasy crafts are made there like marquetries and woodcarvings. Then, you will continue to Ranomafana and at your arrival, you will install at the hotel.

Distance: 254 km by car – about 05 hours - Meals: breakfast and dinner inlcuded

Early in the morning, you will hike for approximately three hours in the forest of Ranomafana national Park with a knowledgeable Local guide. This park is rich in fauna and flora; it shelters different species of lemurs and interesting vegetation, which are endemic. In the afternoon, a visit of a typical “Tanala village” or “Forest dwellers” will be scheduled. The culture and the everyday life of the local people are shown in here.

The morning of this day will be off. So you can take advantage of the thermal swimming pool or just relax at the hotel with the natural wind that the area offers. In the afternoon you will depart for Fianarantsoa. On the way you can admire the beautiful landscape and the terraced rice fields. Some typical Betsileo houses are also seen along the mountain.

This day will be free on your own. So you can optionally spend it by a good relaxation at the hotel or by visiting the city and its population. A visit of some factories such as wine factory and tea fermentation factory can also be undertaken. Otherwise you can go for an excursion in Vohimasina, which is a royal village on the edge of Matsiatra River. For that you will make some walk and visit the high town, go through the battlefield and rice paddies. This will also be an opportunity for you to meet with Betsileo population with their everyday life. After the activities you can return at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will go on to Ranohira. On the way, you will make a stop at Anja Private Park which is managed by the village community. During the visit the legend of « the three brothers » will be told by the local guide. This will also be an opportunity for you to meet with Catta lemurs which offer joyful welcoming! Then, you will continue to Ranohira where the landscape changes and becomes gradually barren.

Distance: 335 km by car – 06 hours - Meals: breakfast and dinner inlcuded

The village of Ranohira is the gateway to all excursions at Isalo national park, which is a huge sandstone massif, eroded at Jurassic time. You will hike in the park through the Baras tombs, the botanical garden, and the point of view that thereafter ends by the natural swimming pool of the limpid waters.

After breakfast, you will take the national road n°7 and head to Ifaty by passing through Ilakaka, a small market town of Sapphire diggers. Baobabs and multicolored Mahafaly tombs will accompany you along the way. At your arrival in Toliara, you will visit a private botanical reserve called “Arboretum d’Antsokay”. After having lunch at the place, you will move on to Ifaty which is a fishing village of Vezo nomads.

You will have these three days free on your own, so you can take advantage of the beautiful beach of Ifaty. Otherwise, lots of activities are  proposed to clients such as snorkelling, fishing, and visiting the tortoise village. Therefore, you can optionally follow these interesting activities.

After these few days of discovery and relaxation, you will return toward Antananarivo. Then, according to your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport of Toliara where you take the flight to the capital. At your arrival you will be picked up and brought to the hotel.

In the morning, you will go to Ambohimanga, the cradle of the Merina monarchy. There, the history of Madagascar will be brought closer. After that, you will make a city tour to discover the old architecture of the capital from the top end of the town and the administrative buildings and right after that, you will purchase some souvenir items at the craft market. Then, you will go back to the hotel.

After a pleasant stay in Madagascar with full of new memories and pictures, you will go back to the country of your destination. So, according to your flight’s schedule, you will be transferred to Ivato International Airport and takeoff. With our gratitude, we will say “Thank you” and hopefully we shall meet again soon in Madagascar. Have a safe flight back home!
